Earning gold in the wow auction house can be pretty
simple if you know what you’re doing. Understanding what markets to
work in is important. Without that insight, you can lose a
lot of gold very fast. Of course, a wow auction house
guide such as Mayle Winter’s “WoW Auction Mastery” points out the best
markets, but what about the people who don’t have access to that
kind of hint? For those players, I’d like to point out my 3 best markets for earning gold on the auction house in
WoW.
1. Gems – The gems needed for jewelcrafting are a gargantuan market. Make sure to
stick with the ones that have both PVE and PVP applications. Stamina always
sells decently, and any gem that increases DPS is a constant seller. Resilience does great if you can stock up and list a bunch right when a new arena season landsstartsAvoid stats like dodge and spirit.
2. Rare Recipes – You’ll see these on the auction house all the time at much lower prices than they are worth. Check with
WoWhead and see how much they are worth, and if they are underpriced,
snatch them up and relist them. It’s a fast method to make
a few hundred gold in one sale.
3. Event items – Items like small eggs, glasses of milk, and anything else that is
needed in a repeating holiday event. Build these up in advance, and then dump them at inflated prices for a
giant infusion of gold.
Those 3 markets should give you a big head start in the wow auction house. If you
can’t earn gold in those markets, you should probably stick to grinding or daily quests!
